The ABE Program Structure
So what do you actually learn in the ABE Diploma in Business Administration? The most important thing that you should be aware of is that the ABE course is to ensure that you are prepared for the tricks of the trade in the business environment. Hence you will learn from scratch all the fundamental concepts evolving around the areas. Make no mistake that the ABE qualification is not only to prepare you for higher education but to ensure that you are ready to go out there and work as well, if that is what you intend to do. This means that with the ABE you can practically start working.
The main areas of the ABE encompasses a wide variety which includes Human Resource Management, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Business Administration as well as Information Technology. This means that it pretty much covers all the major areas of business that is required of you in any business environment.
If you have just graduated from SPM or its equivalent, you will be required to undergo a Certificate before gaining entry to the Diploma Level. This is where you will have to learn about the introductory concepts of Accounting, Business, Communications and Quantitative Methods. Once you have done that, you will be eligible to enter the Diploma course which is divided into 2 main parts. Part 1 includes modules like Accounting, Organisational Behaviour, Business Communications and Economics while Level 2 requires you to learn the more strategic and advanced modules like Managerial Accounting, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Quantitative Methods, Law and Information Technology depending on your choice.
In the Advanced Diploma in level is where you will learn more managerial and strategic papers which includes Management Organisation, International Business, Corporate Finance, Strategic Marketing and Corporate Strategy among others. So as you can see, the modules offered in the ABE let you learn the most relevant knowledge which you will appreciate as you move towards charting your career but of course, the flexibility of this course means that you can choose to work first and perhaps continue later which will help you tremendously to progress. The course is also structured to be as contemporary as it can where it incorporates modules on Information Technology and Law which ensures its relevance and effectiveness in churning out professionals in the commerce industry.
